And speaking of Jim Beaver, I just wanted to mention
(possibly for a second time) how terrific he was as the lead
in the THE LION IN WINTER at Theatre West in Hollywood. Heidi
and I caught one of his last perfomances in the play and it
was fantastic. I don't know if there are any plans for
another run in the future (Jim?), but if it happens and
you're within 500 miles of the venue, you should go. The play
itself has hard boiled and noir attributes and the
perfomances were all excellent, with Jim tearing the roof off
the joint in a number of scenes.
I thought I posted a message here a few weeks ago about his
outrageously great performance, but I'm not sure it ever hit
the list. If it did, my apologies for the redundancy, if it
didn't, my apologies to Jim for being technologically
lame.
