One title I have seen attributed to Burnett is "It's Always
Four O'Clock" published (in HC) 1956 by Random House under
the author name James Updyke
(which certainly sounds like a pseudonym) - it is apparently
a pulper about jazz musicians, which lends credence to the
claim it was written by Burnett, a well-known jazz
enthusiast. I have only seen this claim made by sellers of
the novel, however, and have yet to read it myself (although
I plan on doing so soon), so I cannot verify that it actually
is Burnett, only that I have heard it stated.
