I interviewed Bruce Hale (author of the Chet Gecko series of
mysteries for 8-12 year olds) on my radio show a few months
ago, and his books have inspired quite a few young people to
read. _The Malted Falcon_, one of the books in this series,
was an Edgar nominee.
