If the buzzer goes off when you quit breathing, then dying on a cross after being betrayed by those nearest you is looking pretty noir. And don't forget Original Sin. That's a good noir concept. Nietzsche's slave morality is another parallel.

Somebody mentioned Christian noirs. It might be outside the legal time frame for some folk's noir, but what about Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment? Win or lose at the end, that is some wicked-assed Christian noir.
