Mickey Spillane and Richard Prather are still around (although I doubt Mickey is on the internet yet - last I heard he was still working on a manual typewriter).

And Elmore Leonard and Dean Koontz would be great choices if anyone on list has good connections to them (hint, hint, Ed...).
