Court TV is planning a new fall series called, American Crime
Writers: Murder They Wrote. In each episode, a crime writer
will deal with a real life crime from the past. The writers
that have been drafted so far are Jonathan and Faye
Kellerman, Michael Connelly, Lisa Scottoline and James
Ellroy. No surprise, Ellroy will focus on his mother's
murder.
Washington Post TV columnist, Lisa de Moraes, wrote a very
amusing piece on Ellroy's usual schtick at Court TV's press
conference announcing the show (it follows the announcement
of the new show John Waters will be hosting for them):
