RARA-AVIS: Request on behalf of David Corbett (info on Dennis Lynds, Ed McBain, requested)

This is a request on behalf of David Corbett (you might recall him as the author of "The Devil's Redhead"), who needs some information on a couple of Rara Avis favorites, for the best of reasons. He posted it at the EMWA forum, and I directed him here, as this is such a knowledgeable gaggle of rare birds. He can be reached at the email address below.

Forwarded message:

On January 28th at 1 PM in the Koret Auditorium of the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, the SF Library Foundation will be presenting a program entitled, "Writers Remembered," to commemorate authors who passed away in 2005.

I've been asked to given three ten minute talks, one for Ed McBain
(Evan Hunter), one for Dennis Lynds, and one for Edward Bunker (who co-wrote the screenplay for Runaway Train, and whose Memoir of a Felon
(previously titled, No Beast So Fierce) is a truly exceptional crime tale.

I'd like to solicit from MWA members any personal reflections, anecdotes, tall tales or words of appreciation they would like to share concerning any of these three marvelous writers. You can send them to me at: david@davidcorbett.com

Thank you.
