Just a short note to alert you all to Epitafios, if you are
not already watching the series. It runs on HBO Signature in
Spanish with subtitles. It is a marvelous crime series set in
Buenos Aires. Shot in color, it has the same noir feel as LA
Confidential. I proves without a doubt that great hard-boiled
and noir material is being produced in many countries. In
some cases these are superior to what we produce here. I
wonder how many other fine TV shows are out there produced in
other countries that we never see?
