Re: RARA-AVIS: John Fante

I'm a Fante fan, and enojoy introducing him to Bukowski or Hunter S Thompson (or even Harry Crews) fans. Definitely a big influence on Bukowski, who did a great forward to Ask the Dust in which he talks about hanging out in the LA library looking for something to read, and happening upon Fante.
For those just looking for a taste - and a cheap one - the recent John Fante Reader makes a great introduction.
