I really enjoyed Vixen by Ken Bruen, the latest in the series
of Brant novels (it's been out for a while in the UK, but was
new to me).
One of the things I like most about this series (The White
Trilogy and Blitz came before Vixen) is the sense I have when
reading that absolutely anything can happen. I think this
quality is enhanced by how short the books are and how
quickly they read. I sort of wish that after the White
Trilogy, I'd waited to read Blitz and Vixen
back-to-back-to-back with whatever comes next in the
series.
