Thanks for the good words, miker and Richard. I'd also heard
that story re: the shaded cover to ROOM TO SWING, miker, but
didn't recall it until your mention here. Thanks to Richard
and rara-avis postings to put first Ed Lacy on my reading
list. I agree EL must've been quite a character. Steve Lewis
and M*F added EL's great cover art to accompany the
article.
