If I remember rightly, the Jessica Fletcher books also
carried the name of the actual writer. But the novel based on
the Australian series 'Secret life of us' was as by Evan
Wylde (2002), one of its characters - the actual author not
given. Seem to remeber it was written from the character's
point of view. And 'Arthur Daley' of 'Minder' appeared as an
author. Now if the character in 'Lost' had written the book
as part of the plot. That would have been a first, I
believe.
