RARA-AVIS: Book finds

From: Juri Nummelin ( juri.nummelin@pp.inet.fi)

Bought some used books last weekend and wanted to have impression of rara-avians.

John Dale: DARK ANGEL (Mask Noir series; any good?) Madison Smartt Bell: ZERO DB (I noticed that Hard Case will be reprinting a book by Bell, but from what I find in the web it seems that Bell is a literary writer) George V. Higgins: WONDERFUL YEARS, WONDERFUL YEARS & THE MANDEVILLE TALENT (are these good Higginses or the ones with the too elaborate style?)

Also picked up a Conan Doyle biography by Charles Higham - has anyone read it? And Stephen Gallagher's CHIMERA.

I also got, thanks to Tapani, my hands on Reasoner's TEXAS WIND, Guthrie's THE TWO-WAY SPLIT and Banks's THE BIG BLIND.
