-- Virgil's Underworld, Dante's Underworld) bouncing around
in my head for a week now. It fits beautifully, doesn't it? I
love to think of a pulp hero (played by Mitchum, maybe, or,
if you'll have it that way, Belmondo) slumped over a bourbon,
or in hat and his best suit calling on some rich fool of a
client, opening his trap and saying: Nel mezzo del cammin di
nostra vita, mi ritrovai per una selva oscura...
