Yes, a truly excellent book. I like the movie too, with exception of the clumsily added scene featuring Richard Anderson as the news correspondent and the annoy Sammy Cahn lyrics for "The Ballad of Johnny Cool."

As for Little Caesar, I loved the book and how the protagonist seemed totally oblivious to his declining fortunes and that truly inspired closing line: "Mother of God," he said, "is this the end of Rico?"
