In an article today on Harold Pinter's Nobel Prize in
Literature, The Times (London) says: "The list of authors who
never won a Nobel is dazzling: Graham Greene, James Joyce,
Marcel Proust, Joseph Conrad, Raymond Chandler, Henry
James."
I must admit, I was pleased to see Chandler mentioned in the
same sentence with authors of such high academic
reputation....
