Well you shouldn't throw out gibson based on 'The Difference
Engine'. For one thing it was co-written and for another it
wasn't his best work. Although the concept was fabulous. You
might try his more recent (i think) 'Idoru' and 'Virtual
Light'. Of the two I preffered Idoru.
