I think close to half of my Rara-Avis posts have been about
CUTTER AND BONE, in my opinion the greatest crime novel ever
written! I just finished reading all eleven of Thornburg's
books - a remarkable body of work.
I'm a big Robert Stone fan as well. The film of DOG SOLDIERS
was called WHO'LL STOP THE RAIN.
Elmore Leonard's CAT CHASER is another worthy entry in this
subgenre.
