During a long and productive career, Dennis Lynds, under his
own name and various pseudonyms such as Michael Collins, Mark
Sadler and William Arden, has made a remarkable and enduring
contribution to the mystery genre, particularly the PI
subgenre, which has been enriched by the power of his
narrative style and the relevance of his stories. For his
contributions to American literature, Rara-Avis honors Dennis
Lynds with its Lifetime Award and the Key to the Joint.
