I have to disagree. I can't stand the Jack Taylors - didn't like anything about them -- from the drunken hero to the style of writing. However, I thoroughly enjoyed The White Trilogy and subsequent installments of the adventures of Brant. I don't think the style was as "strange" as in the Taylors and I liked the completely corrupt cops.
