A Higgins fan ... yeah, the guy is hilarious (especially reading between the lines) ... humor that's worth a lot more (for my fazools) than the slapstick stuff (unless I'm in the mood). I can read (or reread) 10 Higgins to one Hiiasen, for instance ... some newer fun stuff is Rick Marinick's, Boyos ... Higgins once removed (a more modern era). The brothers in that one will have you chuckling out loud for sure. And then there's Ken Bruen's Jack Taylor series. The sarcastic wit in that one won't be found elsewhere. Taylor can be out loud laughing as you read.
