Not according to my CP Stylebook. I believe the name was
Eddings, not Edding, just like Roberts, not Robert, so the
apostrophe would come after the s. But let's not get into a
style argument on this list.
Kent Morgan who just e-mailed his latest sports column
featuring a hockey player named Mathers to his editor. I'll
have to see how he edits it.

possessive of Roberts is given as Robert's. Off to a flying
start. Similarly the possessive of Eddings becomes Edding's.
Maybe I'm being finicky.

reporter Canadian Press style was Edding's, not
Eddings'.
