One of the best I've read is new, Max Allan Collins' "Road to
Purgatory," a non-graphic sequel to his graphic novel (and
the subsequent movie), "Road to Perdition." Very dark, very
powerful. I can't recall a more vivid portrait of Nitti than
you'll find here.
