There are very few crime novels I start that I can't finish,
but there have been a few. I wonder if anyone else on this
list has had similar experiences. The number, percentage-wise
is low, maybe one in a hundred. The ones that come to mind
are The Friends of Eddie Coyle, Flinch (the most recent) and
Anatomy of a Murder (3 times I started it).
My rule is I give everything at least 80 pages.
There have been some, mostly Jason's, that creeped me out so
much I almost didn't finish them, e.g., Hard Feelings, Cold
Caller, but I persevered and now am a fan.
