I burned a fair VHS copy of "City Streets" to DVD some months ago. It was decent, as I recall, especially for an early gangster talkie.

I own the two "Secret Agent X-9" serials on DVD, but I haven't seen them yet. They are are available from Amazon. They're worth having, but as you remarked about "The House on Turk Street" they ain't Hammett either.

What I really wish would get released is the second season of "Fallen Angels," the Showtime series from some years ago. The second season featured a faithful adaptation of Hammett's short story "Fly Paper" with Christopher Lloyd as the Op.
