Dear Bill and all,
I'm about thirty pages into Black Money. Found Jamieson Sr. a
rather good character study and appreciated the nice touches
about the songbirds in the opening scene. Tone is very
different, quite a bit lighter than The Galton Case, the last
McDonald I read, but that's a very sad and heartbreaking
book. Steady on.
