A bit more detail: Spielberg and Tom Hanks (not Lucas) are
doing another Band of Brothers series for HBO, this one set
in the Pacific theater. Pelecanos is writing two hours out of
thirteen to honor his father, who fought as a Marine in the
Phillipines. It will take over a year to shoot and won't air
until 2007.
