I happened to come across the first copy of the movie,
Cockfighter, I have ever seen in a discount store today for
$2.99. I just read the archives to see what people thought
about it and several messages included comments about Charles
Willeford's role in the movie. Can someone tell me which role
he played so I can watch for him? As for the book, I have
owned a copy since the the PB first came out, but have never
read it. Also for some unjustifiable reason, I added an
ex-lib hardcover to my collection last year.
I also couldn't resist buying the 1989 movie, From Hollywood
to Deadwood, from the same lot just for the title. The
description may also have helped - "In the tradition of
Chinatown, From Hollywood to Deadwood strings a taut
tightrope of sping-tingling suspense against a classic film
noir Hollywood backdrop." Anyone heard of this gem?
