Speaking of spies, John D. MacDonald was in the OSS (what
became the CIA) in WWII, and E. Howard Hunt was in the CIA.
Were there any other of our kind of writers who were involved
with spying? James Atlee Phillips's brother David was in the
CIA and worked with Hunt, so that's another connection.
Graham Greene worked as a spy, didn't he? And Ian Fleming of
course.
