  Well that'll be me, I suppose (though I generally prefer the term 'editor' to 'fact checker'). And mea too culpa, I guess. Like Woody I prefer to avoid errors but I am a lot more interested in the wider truths about the social and political worlds in which noir writers operated that emerge from Woody's books, than I am bothered about nailing down David Goodis alternate titles. While not denying the desirability of bibilographical exactitude, I think there is a wood for the trees issue here.
