I see about ten people have joined the list in the last
couple of days, and I assume they're all here because of
Bouchercon. Welcome! It's always nice to have new people and
hear your views about hardboiled and noir writing. I may send
you a reminder if things stray far from the list's charter,
which you received when you joined, but don't take it
personally. It all helps keep things focused.
I enjoyed meeting all the rare birds at Bouchercon. There
were at least two dozen of us there (about one in ten, since
there are now 242 people on the list--a high proportion) and
I look forward to seeing them all again.
Dennis Lynds (who writes as Michael Collins among other
names) expressed interest when I asked if he'd be a guest of
the month. I think he'd be great. I'll get in touch with him
soon and see if January would be good.
