Noir trilogy, made up of MARCH VIOLETS, THE PALE CRIMINAL,
and A GERMAN REQUIEM. They're about a private eye named
Bernie Gunther, set just before and just after World War II
in Germany. The books are available in one volume and well
worth looking up.
