Very well done indeed. I read the Amos Walker stories from time to time, but it doesn't really bother me that I haven't read them all. I'd always ignored Estleman's westerns until I read Jim Sallis's column on Estleman. I've copied below a link to that article from Sallis's web page (which is an absolute treasure trove of must reads).

Speaking of Sallis, his review of Cynthia Ozick's latest novel appeared in the Washington Post Book World yesterday.
