Jason, 150 pages into Nothing Personal and I don't recall any hockey comments yet, though I'm not sure I would have noticed a passing comment. By the way, I'm really enjoying the book, especially the interwoven plotting, of which I'm not always a fan (too often care about one subplot so much less that it annoys me when it shifts to it).

Jim, I can think of one book with hockey. Steve Hamilton's Winter of the Wolf Moon starts with PI Alex McKnight having been talked into playing goalie in an amateur league game that's not nearly as "slow puck" as he had been led to believe. Chapter two involves a fight over hockey at a bar later that same night. That fight starts the rest of the plot rolling.

I put hockey into "search the archives" and came up with a few hits -- you may want to check them out.
