I also suggest Phantom Lady...I've also read Waltz into
Darkness...I have to say, from the books of his I've read so
far, he's not my favorite noir writer. The plots and
characters are great--I've just never been crazy about the
language in his books. It always seems a bit old fashioned
for me, not as gritty as his material...But I haven't read a
