I just finished Garry Disher's KICKBACK, a story about a
tough and ruthless professional thief. I was wondering about
the relationship between Disher's Wyatt series and Richard
Stark's Parker series, but I've never read any of the Stark
books. Anyway, I was looking at some of them at Border's
yesterday evening and this was the opening line:
"When the phone rang, Parker was in the garage, killing a
man."
I had to laugh. Great opening.
