Stark House has just reprinted Vin Packer's SOMETHING IN THE
SHADOWS and INTIMATE VICTIMS in one nice volume. Not exactly
noir, not exactly hardboiled, but certainly worth a look.
There's a brief intro by Packer, and a reprint of Jon Breen's
excellent 1989 article on all Packer's paperback novels is
included as well.
