RARA-AVIS: Re: MULLER

I, too, found Muller's first novel weak. But she came back a few years later, and started to do some interesting things with the character, offering an often interesting, medium-boiled look at the working life of a P.I. working for a hippy-dippy law firm, and some great local colour. She had a good run for a while, although lately she's been edging back to a sort of romantic/cozyiness, focusing at McCone's large (and generally annoying) extended family's various problems and her mysterious ex-spy pilot boyfriend.

Am I the only one hoping for a plane crash? Now, a grieving, pissed-off Sharon might be worth reading.
