************ Thanks to you and everybody else who commented on DeLillo. I can't think of anything that I've read set in the Mediterranean. Parts of Tosche's DANTE novel, maybe. Rabe's THE BOX takes place in North Africa. I wasn't overly impressed with either of them, though.
