RARA-AVIS: Academics

Doug's review reminded me that I've recently read Victor Gishler's PISTOL POETS, and academic crime novel set in Oklahoma. It's sort of like what might happen if Elmore Leonard wrote an academic novel. Plenty of gunplay, some humor, and plenty of satire on academia. I thought it was a little too long (there's a whole section I'd probably have cut), but it was fun, and I'd recommend it.
