Duly noted. They are not mutually exlcusive categories. Nevertheless, read the book and you'll see what I mean. It's similar in feel to a Richard North Patterson novel. As for the monthly "what is noir and what is hardboiled?" debate, I'll just take the Potter Stewart route.
