RARA-AVIS: Philip K. Dick on Mickey Spillane

Here's a strange, sad letter that science fiction writer Philip K. Dick wrote two and a half weeks before he died:

NBC ran a feature on Mickey Spillane, and PKD was inspired by seeing that Spillane lived unglamorously and still used a manual typewriter. PKD and Spillane make a very odd pair, but it's a touching letter, especially if you know about PKD's bizarre last decade.
