RARA-AVIS: Sallis and a hundred more

Thanks to Chris and Valerie for the information on how Sallis' Lew Griffin series tie in with one another. It makes me wonder how much of that he planned and how much of it he winged.

I hope to get around to MOTH soon, but right now I'm still trying to sample one novel by all the major hardboiled and noir authors. I've still got a lot of gaps to fill. Still haven't read anything by Gil Brewer, Leigh Brackett, David Peace, Patricia Highsmith, Wade Miller, Robert Crais, Russel James, Bill Pronzini, Joyce Carol Oates, Howard Browne, and the list goes on and on.
