Since it's a bit quiet around here, you might like to know that issue #3 of Noir Originals is now up. This one, a tribute to James McKimmey (one of my favourite crime writers), offers an extensive interview, Jason Starr's introduction to the Pulp Original's ebook of McKimmey's "Squeeze Play", an original short story by James and Starr McKimmey, a previously unpublished letter by John D. MacDonald, plus essays and reviews by Bill Crider, Lee Horsley, Andrew Jamieson, Michael Robison and David Gow.

New Writers #3 showcases another nine of the outstanding authors currently striving to make a name for themselves in the noir/hardboiled fiction field and features some breathtaking work from Richard Cross, John Knoerle, Fred DeVecca, Ray Banks, John Swan, Robert D. Bennett, Ron Miller, Duane Swierczynski and Patrick J. Lambe.
