There's a difference between "point(s) toward," which implies a tendency, and "embodies" or "defines." Tendencies can be participated in to lesser or greater degrees. And they're not exclusive. Hence the possivle intermingling of HB and Boir.

That point was indeed made, but it was fallacious because it presumes that HB and noir are mutually exclusive, which, of course, they're not.
