A quick notification to list members:

Our "special edition" of Charles Willeford's classic novel THE BLACK MASS OF BROTHER SPRINGER is almost out. The proof has been approved and first copies expected to arrive soon. We hope to ship it within a week and are taking orders. It will be officially available sometime next month -- these are hot off the press, mailed at the same time review copies are.

This trade paper edition (no hardcover edition) includes the rare novel, the never-before published play version of the novel, THE ORDAINMENT OF BROTHER SPRINGER and a new introduction by James Sallis. $17.95 retail, $2.50 shipping in the US.

In The Washington Post Barry Gifford called the book Willeford's
"masterpiece" and in his upcoming book READ 'EM AND WEEP he called it ". . . a Gila monster of a novel . . . its teeth marks will still be on your hand after you finish it."
