The fall issue of Hardluck Stories Zine is now on-line
at:
http://www.hardluckstories.com/zine.htm
This issue is guest edited by G. Miki Hayden, a talented
editor and writer in her own right, and author of "Writing
the Mystery". I think she did a great job with this issue and
I also think we got some damn good hard-boiled stories in it.
I also threw in a short essay (only 500 words) of one of my
favorite hard-boiled books (although I think you could argue
that it borders more on noir), Cockfighter by Charles
Willeford. I'd love to get some feedback on the stories in
this issue, or whether people agree with my take on
Cockfighter.
-Dave Zeltserman
btw. A second book of mine is going to be published first in
Italy by Meridiano Zero. Any other writers out there have the
same problem - being able to get published in a foreign
language, but not in the US?
Also, I'm looking for guest editors for 2004. Maybe some
folks on this list might be interested???
