Pierre-Paul Durastanti: Yes. Originally published in 1958. Aka _The Concrete Flamingo_. I've read that in French, and it's quite good.

*********************************** Greetings, Pierre-Paul. Charles Williams is good. I thought HOT SPOT was good, but RIVER GIRL was better. I've got a copy of SCORPION REEF that I'm looking forward to. I'll wait for a while, though. I haven't read any of his sea books. I've got DEAD CALM too, but I'm never very enthusiastic about reading the book that I've already seen to the movie of.
