I have to agree there. Usually first person present tense gets in its own way, but Hiassen proved himself once again to be a stylist of the first order.


Besides, how could you NOT want to read about a guy who defends himself against a home invader with a handy-dandy frozen Iguana (not a steak or a leg, the whole frozen carcass!) plucked from the freezer as they struggled.;)
