RARA-AVIS: Question for Marijane Meaker: The fifties

From: Mario Taboada ( matrxtech@yahoo.com)

I have a few questions for Marijane:

Depending on who you listen to, the fifties were either an age of innocence and prosperity or one of decadence and change of the guard. For example, Halberstam's history of the decade oscillates between one and the other view.

This was the era during which you wrote several Gold Medals that broke new ground.

What would you say today about the era and how you felt in it? And about the Vin Packer novels? Do you ever reread them?

Best,

Mario
